Suggested Action:
recommendation
I move that the Mayor and Council authorize the City Administrator to execute a contract with Activu for the design, purchase, and installation of a AVoIP system for the communications department at 3505 Hamilton Street in an amount not to exceed $390,000, pending the review and approval of the City Attorney for legal sufficiency.
end
Summary Background:
The AVoIP Video Wall system design is required to support 'any-to-any' connectivity, allowing video from any source to be displayed on any output over a switched IP network. It will handle ultra-high-definition (UHD) video (4K resolution, 60 frames per second, 4:4:4 chroma subsampling) and include audio support or sound reinforcement systems where necessary. Users will have the flexibility to manipulate and configure visual layouts, allowing for multiple sources on a single or across multiple displays in a layout of their choosing. The system will incorporate industry-standard security measures and a robust user credentialing capability.
Activu was selected through a competitively bid RFP that was posted to the City’s website and eMaryland. Activu was one of two vendors who participated in the pre-proposal on-site visit and the only vendor to submit a proposal.
