Suggested Action:

I move that Mayor and Council authorize the City Administrator to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Brentwood concerning the HPD’s Mental Wellness Check-in Initiative.

Summary Background:

In 2021, the City launched the HCPD Mental Wellness Check-In Initiative (“HCPD MWCI”), which is operated by HCPD, under which HCPD employees can receive free mental health services, including quarterly one-on-one meetings with licensed mental health practitioners who have prior experience working with first responders.  The MOU dated January 31, 2022, has expired and HPD wishes to renew the MOU for an additional two years.
