Summary Background:
Representatives from the US Army Corps of Engineers will present an overview of the planned restoration project for the Northwest Branch.
The project is a partnership with the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment and the US Army Corps of Engineers to develop and implement stream restoration projects in the Anacostia River Watershed. The goal is to restore in-stream habitat, remove fish passage blockages, and reduce the negative effects of stream bank erosion. Two of the project sites are in or near the City, on property owned by M-NCPPC. The USACE project manager will share information on the scope, timeline, and impact of the project.
