I move that the Mayor and Council authorize the City Administrator to accept the new work order and authorize an expenditure not to exceed $18,000 to The Matthew’s Group, Inc. for the design of the exterior porch and ADA accessible entrance to the Teen Center project.

Summary Background:
In the summer of 2021, Council authorized the City to enter into a work order with The Matthew’s Group, Inc. utilizing the Gordian Job Order Contracting Services through the Omnia Partners (formerly US Communities) collective purchasing agreement for the design and permitting of the interior renovations of the Teen and Mentoring Center building. Staff anticipated the exterior porch and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible entrance to be part of the exterior renovation and landscaping of the park space. However, the ADA entrance is required to complete the permitting process.
