end
Summary Background:
This new vehicle would replace the current PD vehicle which is 18 years old. The current vehicle is a liability risk because it was not designed for safe passenger transport. The new vehicle will be 4-wheel drive and have a life expectancy of 20 years. This vehicle is designed to safely transport up to 12 officers and/or residents in almost all emergency evacuation conditions or transport situation. This purchase is eligible for redlight camera funds as the City Attorney reviewed and confirmed that it meets the public safety requirement standards.
