Suggested Action:
recommendation
I move that the Mayor and Council authorize the City Administrator to enter into an agreement with Berkley Glass for the replacement of windows at the City Administration Building, pending legal review. An expenditure not to exceed $285,000 is authorized to be funded with ARPA funds, and the Treasurer is authorized to make the required budget amendments to facilitate this expenditure.

Summary Background:
The City Administration Building was constructed and opened for use in 1990. The windows installed during construction 33 years ago were of a lower quality and many of them have exceeded their useful life or failed. Many windows have developed leaks over the years, and/or have failed seals resulting in air and water leaks. The proposal is to replace all of the existing windows with modern commercial windows, which should eliminate the water and air leaks, and provide better insulation and energy efficiency overall. City Staff solicited several proposals and Berkley Glass was chosen as they provide the best value to the City. This work will be a part of the City Building Renovations ARPA project previously authorized by Council.
