Thomas Himler of Thomas Michael LLC, the consultant the City has engaged to advise on compliance with federal rules related to American Rescue Plan Act funds, will provide a presentation to Council on the current status of ARPA funds. He will also provide a summary of suggested actions for Council discussion.

Summary Background:

The City of Hyattsville was awarded $17.9m in American Rescue Plan Act funds, with requirements to obligate all funds by the end of 2024 and spend all funds by the end of 2026. This presentation will provide an update on the City’s progress toward meeting those obligation and spending deadlines, with recommendations for methods to reduce risk of returning unobligated or unspent funds to the Treasury Department.

Motions will be presented at the June 10 Council Meeting.
