Contract Award - Citywide Tree Maintenance

I move that the Mayor and Council authorize the award of a one (1) year contract, renewable by the City Administrator for up to four (4) additional years, to Adirondack Tree Experts for tree maintenance at various locations in the City at an annual cost not to exceed $190,000, upon the review and approval by the City Attorney for legal sufficiency.

Summary Background:
In August 2024, City staff solicited an RFP for maintenance and pruning of the City’s trees. The only proposal received was from Adirondack Tree Experts. Adirondack has had a positive working relationship with the City in the past.
The City has numerous trees in need of pruning or removal, on streets and within the City Right of Way. We are requesting the Council approve a new contract with Adirondack Tree Experts, cost NTE $190,000 annually.
Next Steps:
Execute the contract and issue a purchase order.
Schedule all tree work that is needed to improve hazardous tree conditions
