I move that the Mayor and Council authorize an expenditure not the exceed $150,000 to SMC for various stormwater projects throughout the City under their existing contract with the City. The Treasurer is authorized to make budget adjustments necessary to fund this expenditure.

Summary Background:
In the Fall of 2019, the City solicited a Request for Proposal (RFPs) to provide environmental and stormwater design and engineering to the City. SMC was awarded a contract in January 2020. Since that time the number of projects has increased beyond initial estimates. The City has received an increasing number of requests to address street and property flooding. In addition, the City is slated to receive Federal and State stormwater related funding in FY23 and FY24. This motion is to fund current proposals for work as well as several projects where the scope and proposal are being finalized.

Issue purchase order and begin projects.
