I move the Mayor and Council schedule a Public Hearing to hear public testimony on the proposed FY25 Budget on June 3, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

Summary Background:
Per the City Charter, the Council shall hold a public hearing prior to adopting the budget.
The FY25 budget process began with internal staff discussions in late 2023. The public process began in February 2024 with a presentation of the budget process and a Council Budget Work Session on February 26. The proposed draft budget was presented on March 27 with follow up discussions on subsequent Council meeting agendas. The purpose of the public hearing is to allow residents an additional opportunity to provide input prior to budget adoption on June 10, 2024.
Next Steps:
The City of Hyattsville Mayor and Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 6:30pm (prior to the City Council Meeting).
