Summary Background:
The David C. Driskell Community Park Phase 2A project advances the re-imagination and development of the park formerly known as Magruder Park. Building on previous work, this phase focuses on refining the park's design to enhance usability, foster community engagement, and prioritize environmental stewardship. Phase 2A includes an analysis of existing conditions, community workshops to gather feedback, and the development of preliminary programming and landscaping concepts. The Neighborhood Design Center (NDC) has conducted extensive public outreach to ensure that the conceptual design reflects the community's priorities. This presentation will showcase proposed design elements, results from engagement efforts, and the next steps toward implementation.
Next Steps:
Following this presentation, NDC will incorporate Council feedback into the design refinement process. The final design will be prepared for implementation in the upcoming fiscal years, contingent on budget approvals and grant funding allocation.
