I move the Mayor and Council authorize the City Administrator to execute a change order to the agreement with Mission Critical Partners LLC, for a contractual value change from $52,800 to $252,800.

Summary Background:
On February 6, 2024, the City of Hyattsville entered into a contract with Mission Critical Partners, LLC for the engineering and design of the new communications center at 3505 Hamilton Street. The initial proposal was for a fee of $52,800 and the change order is for an additional $200,000, totaling $252,800.
Since the implementation of the project, the City and Mission Critical Partners have realized additional work is needed outside the scope of the original proposal. This increase is a result of the City’s need to have Mission Critical Partners consult on several key areas to include RFPs, contract negotiations, and oversite for Motorola, Audio and Video systems, electronic recording systems and to ensure all aspects of the project meet technical and functional requirements as well as compliance with all state and federal regulations.
The funding required for this change order has been previously discussed and includes funding from the sale of the bond proceeds related to the new Police and Public Safety Headquarters.
