To create inter-group service opportunities for Hyattsville residents, City staff identified Heurich Park as a logical location for a second City sponsored community garden. Based on the success of the Hyatt Park Community Garden on Hamilton Street, the City seeks to engage more residents in the ongoing stewardship of public gardens. With the goals of providing flower and vegetable garden plats for residents to enjoy and participate in the social and community benefits of gardening.
