I move that the Mayor and Council authorize the Police Department to purchase six (6) vehicles from Hertricht Fleet Services and upfitting equipment from Global Equipment together in the amount not to exceed $331,312.

Summary Background:

                     The Mayor and Council approved $331,000 in the FY 2020 Capital Improvements Budget for the purchase of replacement vehicles and related equipment for the Police Department. The six new vehicles (three standard engine and three HYBRID) will replace four inoperable vehicles (high mileage or repair costs), and accommodate newly assigned officers. 

 

Next Steps:

Proceed with the purchase of the vehicles and upfitting equipment.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Not to exceed $331,312.
