Summary Background:
The proposed Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP) is a compilation of the City’s current accomplishments and projects as well as future goals and objects as it pertains to stormwater management and the reduction of sediment and pollutants in our rivers and streams; a basic roadmap for how we will assist the County in achieving and maintaining the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) limits necessary to meet water quality standards. Developed with the assistance of a Graduate Student from the University of Maryland, Katerina Boutselis, Hyattsville will be one of the first municipalities to develop their own personalized WIP separate from the County.
