I move the Mayor and Council adopt a proclamation recognizing and celebrating June as Immigrant Heritage Month in the City of Hyattsville.

Summary Background:

June has been recognized as Immigrant Heritage Month nationwide since 2014. The City of Hyattsville has a rich and diverse community made up of many residents born outside of the country. This proclamation serves to celebrate those individuals and reaffirm the City’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for all immigrants regardless of documentation or refugee status.
