I move that Mayor and Council authorize an expenditure not to exceed $40,000 with B&H Photo and not to exceed $6,000 with Washington Professional Systems for the purchase of equipment to support the upgrades of the City Council Chambers Audio/Visual system for hybrid meeting functionality. I further move that the Mayor and Council authorize an expenditure of not to exceed $8,300 to Schneider Systems for the installation of the audio-visual equipment. The total cost of this portion of the Council Chambers renovation is not to exceed $54,300.

Summary Background:
The return to in-person Council Chambers while retaining the ability for individuals to join and participate over Zoom will require upgrades to the existing audio-visual system for the City’s broadcast of Council Meetings. The City’s outdated assisted listening device system will also be upgraded as part of this project. Additionally, the Council Chambers are undergoing a renovation to allow the room to function as a multipurpose space for committee meetings as well as internal meetings and trainings which will require the purchase and installation of audio and video conferencing equipment.
