Summary Background:

Over the course of 2023, City staff worked with the Low Impact Development Center (LIDC) on the evaluation, outreach, and design of the renovation of King Park, of which the landscaping plan is the final component. In November 2023, the Council authorized the use of ARPA funds to complete the renovation project, and in December 2023 authorized the expenditure for the purchase and installation of the playground equipment. With this authorization, the landscaping portion of the project can be scheduled to begin after the playground equipment is installed.

Next Steps:

Issue purchase order and schedule installation.

Fiscal Impact:

$225,000 ARPA funds
